Afrofuture and WatsUp TV Campus Rising star Talent Show

Afrofuture and WatsUp TV Campus Rising Star Talent Show, which is a part of the larger WatsUp on Campus tour, will provide ambitious student artists a special opportunity to perform in front of their peers and a panel of industry professionals. It runs from July through October 2025. Explore all the Ballon d'Or nominees for 2025.

The event's organizers say that student artists who have been shortlisted will audition at each participating institution, and the top five will get the chance to perform live on the main WatsUp stage.

Universities Eligible for this year Afrofuture and WatsUp TV Campus Rising star

Universities confirmed for this year’s edition include

·       University of Cape Coast (UCC)

·       the University of Media Arts and Communication (GIJ)

·       Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU)

·       Koforidua Technical University (KTU)

·       the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani

·       the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT)

·       Sunyani Technical University (STU)

·       the University of Ghana (Legon).

Finalists will be given professional training, performance opportunities, and mentorship under The Continent Live, a venture that helps the continent's up-and-coming artists.

A spot in the final 12 of the international Afrofuture Rising Star Challenge, where top campus performers will compete for a grand prize package that includes a cash award, a single distribution deal, and a performance slot at the prestigious Afrofuture Festival.

·       Post a one-minute video introducing yourself and your passion for the challenge using the hashtag #AFRISINGSTAR25
