Accra Academy (ACCRA-ACA)

The academy's founders gave tuition to students who sought a secondary education but had the financial resources to do so. Dr. Kofi Konuah traveled to some of the major cities in each part of the country on a regular basis to organize admission tests for students, allowing the clever but needy among them to enroll in Accra Academy.

Accra Academy was established on Monday, July 20, 1931, by four young men named Dr. K.G. Konuah, G. N. Alema, James Acquaye, Halm-Addo, and Samuel N. Awuletey.

Accra Academy (ACCRA-ACA) Admission Process

·       New students are accepted via a computerized system run by the Ghana Education Service.

·       Admission is dependent on the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E.) scores, which are administered annually to junior high school students at various places around the country.

·       Entry forms for the B.E.C.E. test are available from the West African Examinations Council (W.A.E.C.) through junior high school principals.

·       Following the automated selection process, the Ghana Education Service distributes the admission list to the school, which is subsequently displayed on the notice board.
