Steps to Take After Checking your School Placement

After checking the school you are being put, many students are unsure of what to do. First of all, before you can conduct the majority of the actions listed below, you must first place the candidate in a school. The most crucial trigger you require is placement.

NB: Once your child's school placement has been verified, you can acquire their placement and enrollment forms. The candidate will not be able to download these PDF documents from the portal if they are not placed.

In brief, we would like to show you what to do after knowing your child’s school.

1. Print your child’s BECE provisional results slip in colored form/black and white.

2. Print your child’s placement form.

3. Print your child’s enrolment form along with the prospectus

4. Put the three documents printed above in steps 1, 2, and 3 in a brown envelope without closing the envelope.

5. Get three recent passport pictures as well. Four (4) copies are recommended.

6. You and your child should then go to the junior high school your child attended with the documents in the envelope. Give the placement enrollment form to the headmaster or mistress of the school to help you fill it.

In certain cases, parents or students can fill it out and simply turn it in to the school principal, who will then stamp and sign the student's passport photo to verify their identity.

NB: The headmaster or headmistress of the school will attach your child’s passport picture in his/her school to the enrollment form.

The headmaster or headmistress will then sign the enrollment form and then give back the documents to you.

7. After the above process has been completed, kindly go with your child to the senior high school he or has been placed with the documents in the brown envelope.

8. In the SHS School, go to the school notice board and check from the admission list if your child’s name is there. The admission list contains all the students who have been placed in that school by the GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE.

9. After this, go and meet or see the headmaster or headmistress of SHS, and he will continue the admission process for you. This will often require that you join a queue. Where the school has introduced an online registration system, you will not need to visit the school to complete the enrollment process.

Good luck!
